Editorial Policy

FENNI covers markets, the economy, business, and crypto for a general readership making sense of financial news. This page explains how we source, verify, and publish what we publish, and how AI tools fit into that process.

Sourcing Standards

We prioritize primary and institutional sources: central bank releases (Federal Reserve, ECB), government statistical agencies (BLS, BEA, SEC, U.S. Treasury), and established financial news outlets. Every factual claim in a FENNI article is expected to trace back to an identifiable source, and each article draws on multiple independent sources before publication. When we summarize third-party or licensed reporting, we attribute the original source. FENNI does not republish wire-service content (e.g., Reuters, AP) verbatim.

Editorial Review Process

Every article goes through a multi-step process before it is published: research and source-gathering, fact-checking against the original sources, drafting, an automated structural and quality check, and an independent editorial review. An article is not published until it has completed every stage.

AI-Assisted Drafting

FENNI uses AI tools to help organize research and prepare article drafts. Drafts are produced with AI assistance under human editorial control: sourcing is set and verified by the editorial process described above, and every draft is fact-checked and reviewed before publication. We disclose this openly rather than present AI-assisted drafts as though no tooling were involved.

The FENNI Newsroom Byline

Articles are published under the “FENNI Newsroom” byline. This is a house byline: it represents the collective editorial process — research, fact-checking, drafting, and review — rather than a single named reporter. We use a house byline instead of attributing articles to invented individual reporters.

Independence & Compensation

FENNI does not accept referral or affiliate compensation in exchange for coverage, and coverage decisions and framing are not influenced by advertising relationships. If FENNI introduces advertising, ads will be clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial content.

Corrections

If you believe an article contains an error, see our Corrections Policy for how to report it and what happens next.
